Introduction

The Weihua portal crane is a large-scale slewing lifting equipment installed on dedicated tracks at port terminals. It features a classic and stable four-bar linkage jib system. This design ensures that the load maintains minimal horizontal height variation during luffing (changing the working radius), resulting in very smooth operation.

One of its outstanding features is its multi-functionality. It can be equipped with hooks, bulk cargo grabs, or container spreaders, easily handling various tasks such as general cargo, bulk materials, and containers.

  • 1. Utilizes an electronically controlled balancing system to ensure the closing mechanism and hoisting mechanism are not overloaded during operation, reducing downtime.
  • 2. The four-bar linkage is optimized using dynamics software to ensure horizontal load movement during luffing, while increasing the transmission angle and reducing the pressure angle, thereby improving the service life of the four-bar linkage system.
  • 3. Applies a luffing-type movable counterweight to minimize the overturning moment caused by the load during lifting operations, increasing the service life of the slewing bearing.
