Introduction

Weihua’s A-type double-girder gantry crane is a classic general-purpose gantry lifting equipment. Its main features are a robust structure and wide applicability, making it very suitable for open-air sites for material loading, unloading, and handling. The travel mechanisms for the trolley and crane on large-tonnage models use three-in-one gearboxes for easy maintenance and are equipped with various safety measures such as high-wind alarm, anti-shaft-breaking, and anti-tipping protection.

Structural Composition

Weihua A-type double-girder gantry crane is mainly composed of the following core parts:

  • Bridge: As the main load-bearing structure, it typically consists of two box-type welded main girders and two box-type end carriages. Trolley rails are laid on the main girders.
  • Gantry Frame (Legs): Adopts an A-type structure, made of steel plates welded into variable cross-section box-type legs. The lower ends connect to the bottom cross beam, and the upper ends are connected through a portal frame to ensure the rigidity of the overall structure. Components are typically connected using high-strength bolts.
  • Hoisting Trolley: Runs on the rails of the main girder, responsible for lifting and transversely moving the load. Its drive mechanism is usually integrated for smooth operation.
  • Crane Travel Mechanism: Drives the entire crane longitudinally along the ground rails. General-purpose A-type products often use separate drives.
  • Electrical Equipment: Includes systems for drive, control, and lighting. Power supply methods include cable reels and safe busbars, which can be selected according to needs.
  • Operator’s Cab: Usually suspended below the main girder, providing the operator with a clear view and an ergonomic working environment.
