The LDZ electric grab crane is equipment that combines an electric single-girder overhead crane with a grab-type electric hoist. It is a lifting device specifically designed for grabbing bulk materials, built upon the foundation of the classic LDA electric single-girder crane. By efficiently grabbing and handling bulk materials in locations such as factories, warehouses, and stockyards, it significantly enhances material handling efficiency.
Structural Composition
The LDZ electric grab crane is mainly composed of a single girder, end carriages, a lifting trolley, a grab, hoisting and travel mechanisms, and an electrical control system. The characteristics of each component are as follows:
Bridge Structure: This is the main body of the crane, typically composed of a single main girder and end carriages, forming a bridge-like structure. The main girder adopts a rational structural design to ensure good rigidity of the entire machine.
Lifting Trolley: The trolley is the operating mechanism of the crane, carrying the grab below it. The trolley can move longitudinally along the main girder, enabling material handling across the span.
Grab: This is the core component that distinguishes the LDZ model from ordinary hook cranes. It can be equipped with mechanical, electric, or hydraulic grabs, selecting the appropriate type based on the characteristics of the material to be handled (such as particle size and density) for grabbing bulk materials.
Hoisting and Travel Mechanisms:
Hoisting Mechanism: Responsible for the vertical lifting and lowering of the grab. LDZ cranes are typically equipped with two hoisting motors (for example, for a 3-ton model, using ZD141-4 type with 4.5kw power) to control the opening/closing and lifting of the grab separately.
Travel Mechanisms: Includes the crane travel mechanism that moves the entire crane along the workshop rails, and the trolley travel mechanism that moves the grab trolley along the main girder. The crane travel speed varies depending on the operation mode, approximately 30 m/min for floor control and 75 m/min for cabin control.
Electrical Control System: The control system is centralized in the operator’s cabin or operated via floor push buttons / remote control. It commands all crane movements, including crane and trolley travel, and grab lifting and closing. The electrical system ensures normal operation of the crane under conditions of ambient temperature -20°C to 40°C and relative humidity not exceeding 85%.
