In January 2018, Weihua Group successfully delivered a specially designed anode carbon block stacking crane to Shanxi Chinalco Huaren Co., Ltd. This special crane is primarily used for its annual 500,000-ton electrolytic aluminum and supporting project, tasked with handling anode transfer blocks, cured anode carbon blocks, and miscellaneous调配 work for carbon blocks within the warehouse.
Product Functions
The crane is equipped with a combined clamping device capable of gripping up to 21 anode carbon blocks at a time. Through its lifting and traveling mechanisms, it accurately transports these blocks to designated locations, stacking them up to 8 layers high. Additionally, it is equipped with an electric hoist that connects to a single-block automatic clamping lug via a hook. This not only assists the combined clamp in its task of gripping carbon blocks but also allows for flexible handling of miscellaneous items. Most importantly, all carbon block clamping operations are automated, replacing the previous pneumatic clamping method, significantly reducing costs—saving approximately 400,000 RMB per vehicle.
Project Application
Since being put into operation, this anode carbon block stacking crane has become key equipment in the carbon block warehouse of the anode electrolytic aluminum plant, greatly improving the efficiency of carbon block handling and management. It can not only grip and transport green and baked anode carbon blocks but also move them to designated positions via a chain conveyor, ensuring the smooth operation of the production line.
