Recently, the 2000t × 200m shipbuilding gantry crane, manufactured in collaboration with Wison (Nantong) Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., successfully completed its lifting operation. This shipbuilding gantry crane is a single main girder, large-tonnage, large-span gantry crane, representing the largest tonnage shipbuilding gantry crane equipment in China. The three hoist trolleys and the entire crane travel mechanism for this crane were manufactured by Weihua.

Successful Lifting of the 2000t Shipbuilding Gantry Crane
The three trolleys and the entire crane travel mechanism manufactured by our company, leveraging domestically leading manufacturing advantages and excellent product quality, will provide the lifting power support and stable bottom operation for this gantry crane.

Weihua-manufactured Double-drum Double-hook Upper Trolley
01 The upper trolley consists of two trolleys. The hoisting mechanism adopts a synchronous structure with double drums and double hooks. It runs on the trolley rails on the top surface of the main girder, with a single trolley lifting capacity of 2X500t.
02 The lower trolley adopts a double-hook structure with independent main and auxiliary drums. It is installed on the pull frame platform of the frame structure and runs on rails at the bottom of the main girder, with a lifting capacity of 600/50t.
03 The entire crane’s trolley system features multiple lifting combinations such as single-hook lifting, double-hook tandem lifting, three-hook tandem lifting, and four-hook tandem lifting, enabling construction operations under various working conditions including hull section对接 and空中 turnover.
04 Based on the ultra-large lifting capacity and the 200m span requirement, the crane’s travel mechanism for this project is composed of四级 balance beams stacked together and driven by a combination of 128 wheel sets, with a travel speed adjustment range of 3-30m/min.
The 2000t × 200m shipbuilding gantry crane serves the dock expansion project at Wison Offshore & Marine’s Nantong base. The Nantong base is Wison’s main production and construction base for floating facilities. The dock expansion work is the top priority of the entire Nantong base renovation project and holds strategic significance for Wison Offshore & Marine to enhance its own strength and upgrade its service capabilities. After the renovation is completed, Wison Offshore & Marine will be able to offer more options to global customers for EPCIC turnkey services for large and ultra-large floating solutions.
