Weihua Group successfully completed the lifting of the world’s first 3600t-106.8m super-large tonnage gantry crane for Haili Wind Power, marking a significant breakthrough for Weihua Group in the high-end marine engineering equipment sector. Leveraging its innovative manufacturing capabilities and value competitiveness, Weihua has officially become a globally leading supplier of super-large tonnage gantry cranes.
The 3600t gantry crane adopts a double main girder and double trolley system. The total lifting capacity of the upper and lower trolleys reaches 3600 tons, with a lifting height of up to 128 meters, the highest in the world. It can achieve the空中 turnover of 1800-ton components, making its lifting capacity the highest among同类 products globally. Together with Weihua’s adjacent 1000t gantry crane, it is used for lifting and turning operations of large steel structural components such as those used in offshore wind power, marine engineering equipment, and marine modules.
Weihua employed 3D digital prototype design combined with finite element analysis to verify the stiffness and strength of the entire 3600t gantry crane structure, strictly controlling quality standards to ensure excellent product quality. Based on the principle of on-time, high-quality delivery and rapidly forming new quality productive forces, this 3600t gantry crane was fully assembled using the world’s most mature hydraulic synchronous lifting technology. The overall lifting process took 13 days, achieving a leading level in the industry.
The 3600t gantry crane was manufactured using a sectional fabrication and overall assembly approach. Coordinated by the digital intelligent manufacturing platform, four 30kW plate laser cutting machines and two 6kW profile laser cutting machines operated at full capacity, day and night. At peak workload, the project employed nearly 500 people per day. The overall manufacturing cycle was shortened from the industry standard of 8 months to 5 months, helping the客户 quickly establish production capacity.
