Weihua Group successfully delivered and officially put into operation three gantry cranes and one rail-mounted container gantry crane for Jinhua Port. The successful implementation of this project will effectively improve the port’s cargo handling efficiency, alleviate regional logistics pressure, and provide strong support for the construction of a modern water transportation hub in Jinhua City.

Customer Requirements: A safe port handling solution.
Through communication with the customer, we learned that the operating environment at Jinhua Port is relatively complex and the handling volume is large. Therefore, additional container handling equipment was needed to improve efficiency. Based on the port layout and relevant parameters provided by the customer, Weihua Group customized an advanced port handling equipment solution for Jinhua Port. The project equipment includes:
Three gantry cranes: Adopting a high-strength structural design and equipped with an intelligent control system, these cranes can efficiently complete the handling of bulk and general cargo. The gantry cranes feature good wind resistance and operational stability, suitable for continuous all-weather operation at the port. They are also equipped with an intelligent control system that enables remote monitoring and precise operation, ensuring operational efficiency and personnel safety.
One rail-mounted container gantry crane: This crane has a lifting capacity of 40 tons and is equipped with a specialized container spreader, enabling it to handle containers of different sizes (20 ft / 40 ft / 45 ft). It can effectively handle 100 to 120 containers per day and can stack them up to 6 layers high. The container crane is equipped with high-precision positioning and automatic anti-sway functions, which greatly improves container transfer efficiency.
From preliminary project design to equipment manufacturing, on-site installation, and commissioning, the Weihua technical team followed through every step. All equipment passed rigorous performance tests before leaving the factory and was successfully delivered to Jinhua Port. Currently, the three gantry cranes and one rail-mounted container gantry crane have been officially put into operation. All equipment is operating stably, handling efficiency has significantly improved, and the issue of cargo backlog at Jinhua Port has been effectively alleviated.
