Collaboration Between Industry and Education! Henan Weihua and Zhengzhou Industrial Technician College Jointly Launch Craftsman Class!
Spring is in full bloom, and everything is thriving. On the morning of March 17, the opening ceremony for the 2026 Weihua Craftsman Class and the “Work-Study” Welder Class, jointly organized by Zhengzhou Industrial Technician College, was held at the Weihua Intelligent Industrial Park.
This year’s Craftsman Class is jointly organized by Henan Weihua and Zhengzhou Industrial Technician College, innovatively adopting a “work-study, work-study integration” training model. The program aims to cultivate a team of highly skilled and well-rounded craftsmen for the new era through the deep integration of theory and practice, injecting sustained momentum into corporate development and industrial upgrading.
Xie Baohua, Chairman of Henan Weihua, and Xie Tian, Party Secretary of Zhengzhou Industrial Technician College, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches. The management team from Zhengzhou Industrial Technician College, the heads of production and human resources systems at Henan Weihua, along with all the trainees and production team leaders, participated in the ceremony.

At the ceremony, Xie Baohua elaborated on the core objectives and long-term significance of organizing this Craftsman Class. She noted that craftsman cultivation is a systematic project rooted in industry and oriented toward the future, which must be passed down through practical work and advanced through innovation.
To ensure the training achieves solid results, Xie Baohua put forward three requirements for all trainees: First, devote yourself to in-depth study, cherish the high-quality teaching resources and specialized practical training opportunities, and truly master systematic professional knowledge such as welding and assembly. Second, be diligent in learning and thoughtful in reflection, make full use of this valuable industry-university collaboration platform to quickly address theoretical knowledge gaps and enhance professional competence. Third, carry forward tradition while pursuing innovation, promote the time-honored practice of “apprentice-style mentorship,” and foster an environment of knowledge sharing and mutual skill improvement, creating a team atmosphere that encourages collective progress. The company will strictly guarantee training time and will prioritize sending outstanding craftsmen to participate in key projects, continuously honing their skills through real-world practice, so that in the future they will grow into the backbone force driving the transition from “Made in China” to “Created in China.”

At the ceremony, Xie Tian highly commended Weihua’s profound industrial foundation and forward-looking development strategy. He pointed out that craftsman cultivation is not only about imparting skills but also an important pathway for enhancing personal quality, passing down craftsmanship spirit, and realizing individual value—a “growth gift” of long-term significance to employees.
Xie Tian stated that Zhengzhou Industrial Technician College places great importance on its collaboration with Weihua and will fully support the “work-study, work-study integration” training model by integrating high-quality teaching resources and curricula. Working closely with the company, the college aims to jointly build a high-skilled talent cultivation platform that combines industry and education with practice-based learning, providing systematic and sustainable support for the growth of Weihua’s craftsmen and striving to establish a new benchmark for school-enterprise cooperation.
He encouraged all trainees to cherish this opportunity for systematic learning, to strengthen their theoretical knowledge, refine their skills, carry forward the spirit of craftsmanship, and pursue excellence. He urged them to transform what they have learned into practical abilities that drive corporate progress and industry development, fostering a new generation of craftsmen with broad vision, dedication, and innovative spirit.

Wang Yuewen, Vice Principal of Weihua Vocational Training School, detailed the 2026 Craftsman Training Program. The training will conduct systematic evaluations across multiple dimensions, including professional competence, technological innovation, and quality control. Trainees who are recognized as “Weihua Craftsmen” will receive corresponding subsidy incentives, supporting the comprehensive enhancement of their personal skills and professional competence.

At the opening ceremony, the instructor representative and student representative for the 2026 session delivered speeches, expressing their shared determination and confidence to cherish the opportunity, hone their skills, and contribute to the enterprise. Wu Guoyao, the instructor representative, stated that the training would adhere to the principle of integrating theory with practice, helping trainees improve their skills and achieve personal growth. Yang Shichang, the student representative, drew on his own experience to encourage everyone to value the opportunity, diligently study and practice, and strive to become highly skilled Weihua craftsmen, contributing their strength to the development of the company.

By nurturing craftsmen with craftsmanship and achieving tangible results through dedicated work, the launch of this Craftsman Class represents a key initiative by Henan Weihua to solidify its talent foundation and reinforce its quality base. It marks a new step forward for Henan Weihua in deepening the integration of industry and education and systematically cultivating a team of highly skilled personnel. Looking ahead, Henan Weihua will continue to promote collaborative education between the company and academic institutions, committed to cultivating versatile talents who not only inherit the spirit of craftsmanship but also possess an international perspective, continuously injecting talent-driven momentum into the high-quality development of China’s high-end equipment manufacturing industry.
