Slab handling crane

A slab clamping crane is a specialized piece of equipment for handling slabs, particularly high-temperature slabs. It is used to transport hot slabs from the continuous casting machine in the withdrawal area to the slab yard or reheating furnace, or to handle room-temperature slabs in the finished product warehouse for stacking and vehicle loading/unloading operations. It can lift slabs or blooms with a thickness of 150mm or more, and when handling hot slabs, the temperature can exceed 650°C.

Introduction

Weihua slab handling crane, also known as a clamping overhead crane, is a powerful type of special lifting equipment. For example, its patented technology, “a slab handling crane,” specifically optimizes the water-cooled cable system that powers the trolley. This system is protected by a specially designed trough-type cable tray, with radiation shields and heat insulation plates installed on the outer side of the tray, forming multiple thermal barriers.
