Depending on the application, it can be divided into hook gantry cranes equipped with hooks for general cargo handling, and container gantry cranes used in ports and railways.
The U-type double-girder gantry crane with hook is suitable for general loading/unloading, hoisting, and lifting operations in open-air freight yards and along railway lines.
The U-type gantry crane, due to its large leg clearance space, is suitable for handling larger volume items.
Due to its structural characteristics, the U-type gantry crane eliminates the need for a saddle frame, reducing the overall height of the machine while maintaining a certain lifting height.

Metal Structure: Includes the rigid gantry consisting of double main girders made of box girders, U-type legs and bottom cross beams, and end carriages.
Hoisting Mechanism: The core is the lifting trolley, containing hoisting winch, hook, etc. Heavy-duty models may use synchronized double lifting points.
Travel Mechanism: Includes the crane travel mechanism (drives the entire machine longitudinally along ground rails, often using a multi-stage平衡梁 and bogie组合 structure) and the trolley travel mechanism (drives the lifting trolley transversely along the main girder).
Electrical & Control System: Contains drive motors (often using variable frequency motors), PLC control system, safety protection devices, and control equipment in the operator’s cab.
